The 2024 edition of the Rare Footage Classic is coming up this weekend, October 19-20, in the Northeast part of the city and suburbs.

The mixed event, which features both boys’ and girls’ matchups, runs all day Saturday and Sunday, with games at both Archbishop Ryan (two courts) and Bensalem High School (three courts). Saturday’s action features games all day at Ryan, with the Bensalem sets starting in the afternoon; Sunday begins with games at Bensalem, with the Ryan sets joining in at noon.

There are 59 boys teams involved and 12 on the girls’ side, with plenty of powerhouse teams on both sides. The top girls’ teams include Audenried Charter, Archbishop Wood, Friends’ Central and Germantown Academy; top boys teams include Father Judge, Plymouth Whitemarsh, Penn Charter, Academy New Church, Archbishop Wood, Imhotep Charter, St. Joe’s Prep, Upper Dublin and more. 

Top matchups get underway right away on Saturday with Archbishop Wood playing Friends’ Central in a girls’ matchup at Archbishop Ryan, while Devon Prep and Pennington School square off too. Imhotep vs. Penn Charter highlights the Bensalem slate that day with a 3 o’clock game , though Plymouth Whitemarsh vs. Father Judge immediately afterwards is a high-level matchup, as are the rest of the games on the Bensalem main court that afternoon. 

CoBL will be in attendance this weekend for coverage and standouts.

Admission will be $20 per day, cash only at the door.
