Scouting Report
An undersized but true point guard, Engel is a smart floor general who’s a decent distributor but certainly isn’t afraid to look for his shot when he’s left open. He does struggle with turnovers from time to time as he tries to do too much with the ball and tries to get too creative. A solid 3-point shooter, he’s got a bit of a flat release but it doesn’t seem to affect his percentage too much. He’s a high-academic Division III prospect at this point who could get some look from Division II schools with a strong senior season, especially now that he’s out of Council Rock North and playing with a lot of Division I talent at Life Center. –December 6, 2013

Updates
(December 29, 2013) Engel spoke to CoBL after his game against Newark that he is hearing the most from Division III schools Catholic, Cabrini, Scranton, Randolph Macon, and Franklin & Marshall. He will be taking to visits to these schools among others throughout the basketball season.
(December 6, 2013): Engel told CoBL that he’s been hearing from high-academic Division III schools like “Catholic U, Franklin & Marshall, Ursinus College, Dickinson” but has no timetable on a decision at this point.
