On the Trail
A versatile combo forward that does pretty much everything well, Fives is a tough, hard nosed player who will dive on the floor for loose balls and give full energy the entire time he’s on the court. He has a great-looking jump shot and does most of his work on the perimeter and around the 12-15 foot range, where he’s a capable pull-up shooter off the bounce. He also demonstrated this summer that he can now take his man to the rim and finish with either hand around the basket. He runs the floor well and is a tough matchup for other forwards because most of his offense is not around the paint. He will need to work on his speed, agility and athleticism as he gets closer to college. He is a very skilled player that will be getting lots of looks from Ivy and Patriot league schools. –April 29, 2013
