2014 forward Obi Enechionyia of St. James (Md.) High School and Team Takeover (D.C.) has verbally committed to play at Temple.

The 6-foot-9, 220 pound forward had trimmed his list to the Owls, Miami, Loyola Marymount and Georgia Tech before taking to Twitter to announce his decision Sunday afternoon.

Enechionyia is Temple’s first commit for the class of 2014. The Owls have plenty of scholarships available, using two of an available five scholarships for the class of 2013. One more scholarship will become available after the Owls’ only senior, shooting guard Dalton Pepper, graduates next year.

Following their first 2014 commit, Temple will most likely turn their attention to another 2014 forward in Dominique Uhl of Pt. Pleasant Beach (N.J.) and the Jersey Shore Warriors. The 6-foot-8, 185-pound wing enjoyed a productive July live period, picking up a number of offers from various Big Ten and ACC schools.

CoBL will have more information coming soon.
