Saint Joseph’s, Penn and Temple are all getting ready to head across the Atlantic Ocean, getting an opportunity that programs are allowed to take a maximum of once every four years. Each team will benefit from the extra practices, games against foreign teams and of course the experience of traveling in Europe–though each obviously has something different to gain from the process.
Three different guests join the PoBL on this episode, including a pair of writers and one college coach. First on the line is Matt Gifford (@HHHardwood), editor of Scout.com affiliate HawkHillHardwood.com, to talk about SJU hoops. Then, Penn assistant coach Jason Polykoff joins the hosts to talk about his first year as a Division I coach, what it’s like coaching in the Palestra, and why he’s looking forward to spending time in Italy. Finally, OwlScoop.com editor John DiCarlo (@Owlscoop_Com) comes on for a talk about Temple hoops, recruiting and more.
