After hitting the game-winning fadeaway jumper to give La Salle a 66-64 win over Northeastern on Saturday night, Explorers junior guard Tyreek Duren added another accolade to his arsenal as he was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week (along with Dayton senior Kevin Dillard) in addition to Big 5 Player of the Week.

It was the second consecutive week that Duren took home Big 5 Player of the Week honors. The Neumann-Goretti product averaged 20.5 ppg and 3.5 apg in two La Salle victories.

In the last-second victory against Northeastern, Duren netted 12 points, four steals, and three assists. Duren is averaging 17.6 ppg to go along with 3.6 apg in seven contests for the Explorers this season.

In addition to his heroic performance against Northeastern, Duren scored a career-high 29 points (on 9-of-13 shooting) and added four assists in a win over Penn State last Wednesday. It was the third time this season that Duren scored at least 20 points.

The Chicago native shot 56.5 percent (13-for-23) and made 10 of 11 free throws throughout the week of Dec. 3-9.
