Former Roman Catholic guard Britton Lee has transferred to Math, Civics and Sciences, a source close to the situation confirmed to CoBL on Monday. The Philadelphia Inquirer first broke the news last week that Lee was set to transfer from Roman; Northeast was his default Public League school but was never expected to be his final destination after leaving the Cahillites.
Lee joins an experienced and talented Mighty Elephants roster that includes fellow D-I bound seniors Quadir Welton (St. Peter’s commit) and Jeremiah Worthem (offers from Stony Brook, Siena, Wagner, Robert Morris) and fellow Roman Catholic transfer Shafeek Taylor as well as athletic junior Jeffon Powell.
A super-quick scoring guard, Lee committed to Robert Morris University back in May after a junior season in which he averaged 11.2 ppg for a 17-10 Roman Catholic team that lost to Lower Merion in the second round of the PIAA Class AAAA state tournament. ESPN.com’s recruiting services have him ranked as the 10th-best player in the state, saying “Lee is a small point guard that does not play small. He excels on the break and makes plays on a consistent basis in the halfcourt mostly inside the arc where he is most dangerous.”
