Saint Joseph’s released their 2012-13 schedule on Thursday, along with the release of the official Atlantic 10 conference schedule.
Though the school has yet to release a full television schedule or list of game times, they already have six national television appearances, including during two Big 5 matchups (Villanova and Penn).
The non-conference highlight includes an appearance in the 2012 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, which opens with a home game against Yale before a four-team tournament at the brand-new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Hawks are one of four host schools for the CvC tournament, along with with Florida State, Notre Dame and Brigham Young–each of whom won at least one game in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
Also of note on the non-conference slate is a Tuesday night matchup with Ivy powerhouse Harvard, a Dec. 11 Big 5 opener against Villanova and a New Years Eve matchup with a Drexel squad with a lot to prove after a 62-49 SJU victory at Hagan last season.
The Atlantic 10 slate, which CoBL will preview in full as the season approaches, kicks off on Jan. 5 with a visit from Butler, one of two new programs in the league along with Virginia Commonwealth; the Hawks are the only team in the city to have both the Bulldogs and Rams come to town this season.
